An emotive message was sent by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing the start of an 11-day ‘anushthan’, or special ceremony, in the run-up to the major Ram Mandir consecration, which is set for January 22 in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya temple city.

There are just eleven days remaining till Ramlala is dedicated at Ayodhya. It is my good fortune to be present for this important event as well. During the consecration, the Lord has appointed me as a representative of the entire Indian population. In light of this, I am initiating a unique ritual that will last 11 days starting today.

I’m asking for everyone’s blessings. The Indian prime minister said on the social media platform X, “I have tried to express my feelings in words, but it is very difficult at this moment.”

Indian PM Modi breaks down in tears and starts the 11-day “anushthan” for the consecration of the Ram temple.

Along with the audio message, PM Modi also provided a link to his page on YouTube, which was dedicated to the impending “Pran-Pratishtha,” or dedication, of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

In the run-up to the opening of the Ram temple, Lord Ram enthusiasts were pouring into the temple town; the Indian prime minister stated he was “passing through such feelings for the first time” in his life.

Beginning on Friday, January 12, PM Modi’s 11-day ritual will culminate on January 22 with a major celebration in the holy city of Ayodhya.

On December 30, 2022, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, PM Modi declared in remembrance of his mother Heeraben Modi, “My mother used to chant the name of Sita Ram until the end of her life.” Although I shall not be physically present for the pran pratishtha, 140 crore Indians will be present in my imagination. I will have all of Ram’s devotees with me.”

“It is my fortune that I am beginning my 11-day ritual from Nashik Dham Panchwati,” he stated.

Construction of the Ram temple has begun following years of legal disputes, which were ultimately resolved by the Supreme Court’s decision on November 9, 2019.

“The dream that has been brewing in the hearts of many generations for a while. I’m getting the chance to be here when it finally happens. During the consecration, the Lord has appointed me as a representative of the entire Indian population. It is an enormous duty. Following the advice of the great spiritual leaders, I am initiating a unique 11-day practice today. PM Modi stated, “I ask for people’s and saints’ blessings so that there should never be a shortage on my part.
